MPRM Communications, a mid-sized agency whose clients include studios, networks, streaming platforms and production companies, is seeking an Accounting Manager who will assume responsibility for accounts payable and receivable, the full cycle AP process, payroll, collections, bank reconciliation as well as some operational duties. This position reports directly to the company partners. Support will be provided by the office administrative assistant.
We are open to considering a parent who wants to work during school hours. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements
-Proficiency in MS, Office, MAS 90, FilemakerPro, Excel and generally computer savvy
-Accounting degree preferred or 5 years minimum experience
-Detail oriented,
-Highly organized
Duties
-Process client fee and expense billing invoices
-Respond to client billing issues; handle collections
-Cash receipts and deposits
-Full cycle AP process
-Manage petty cash
-Filing
-Payroll
-Reconcile monthly bank statements
-Manage commission payments
-Respond to requests from outside CPA
-Month end closing and journal entries
-Oversee vendor relations with insurance, bank, 401K administrator, etc.
-Provide reports to senior staff - cash projection, fee reports, projection report, monthly comparison report, other reports as requested.
