Compliance Auditor (Temp)
We are looking for a Compliance Auditor responsible for conducting payroll audits to ensure employers are in compliance with various Collective Bargaining Agreements and company's Trust Fund Agreement. Your auditing skills help to determine eligibility of benefits for our participants.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct inspections and verify employer accounting records to support reported fringe benefit contributions of employees performing collective bargaining work in the film, television and commercial production industry.
•Identify and document reporting errors (audit findings) after comparing reported contributions to the actual fringe benefit contributions due including identifying instances of inaccurate, or non-substantiated contributions and non-qualified employees.
•Research Plan Office record, record audit findings and prepare detailed reports.
•Local Travel to employer locations to conduct field audits using personal vehicle.
•Professionally represent MPI and adhere to MPI Core Values during all meetings and audits.
Local Los Angeles candidates only, relocation assistance is not provided.
Qualifications:
•1-3 years' experience in auditing, accounting, bookkeeping and/or payroll
•Production accounting experience is a plus
•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
•Strong PC skills including Windows, Word and Excel required.
•BA or BS degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting; and or equivalent experience.
•Ability to work extended hours based on business need (Including evenings and weekends).
•Excellent DMV record
