Senior Character Animation Content Creator

DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity
We are looking for a creative and hands-on Senior Content Creator focusing on character animation to join our dynamic Shorts team. The Senior Content Creator will focus on producing animated YouTube Shorts content from start to finish. This role will need to work with our internal assets and be able to successfully create high quality, fun, educational & family-friendly animated content featuring some of our favourite Moonbug characters!

You will be familiar with 'Made for kids' YouTube content and be able to ideate, plan, and produce short-form character-based animated content that is engaging, visually compelling, and creatively diverse, with a strong emphasis on formats that entertain, educate, and inspire children and families.

Our ideal candidate will have the knowledge, skills & experience to spot & emulate trends on YouTube in the made for kids space, and work in unison with the Shorts team to transform ideas into big-time YouTube shorts hits. Skills in editing and delivering live-action footage using Premiere Pro and After Effects are a bonus!

Responsibilities
• Create animated YouTube Shorts focusing on character animation and knowledge of modelling, rigging, lighting, and rendering of children's content and environments.
• Edit and composite animated and live-action content using Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Contribute creatively to story-led animated children's content.
• Explore the use of 2D animation and/or stop motion (if experienced) to develop experimental or hybrid Shorts content.

Requirements
• Advanced skills in 3D character animation production – including rigging, lighting, rendering, and a solid understanding of animation fundamentals (e.g., timing, movement, performance).
• Highly skilled using Maya.
• Bonus: experience with Adobe Suite.
• Bonus: experience with stop motion.
• Bonus: experience with Blender.
• Other short-form platforms.
