We are looking for a Creative Executive who is passionate about creating children's content and fluent with digital media and short form storytelling. The executive will be based in Los Angeles, CA and work closely with the London headquarters and our network of creators all over the world.
You will be working on some of the biggest brands on YouTube and will help develop and produce across a wide range of IP and content formats (e.g. live action, animation, puppets, stop motion), for YouTube as well as all other major platforms such as Netflix, Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS, etc.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on organization and meticulous attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast-paced role with growth potential that requires curiosity and significant initiative. S/he will report to our Head of Creative.
Responsibilities
• Help drive shows from a creative perspective all the way from development to production through to final delivery
• Manage the process and flow of all creative projects in development, pre-production and production
• Act as a liaison with various departments (Creative, Production, Marketing, Channel Operations, Distribution) to coordinate information sharing and asset delivery
• Develop and own our database of writers, designers, animation studios and production staff
• Maintain flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
• Passionate and knowledgeable about high quality children's entertainment
• Broad network of writers, artists and agency contacts
• Good judgment and strong critical thinking skills
• Proven communication skills; must be articulate and professional both in written and verbal form
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
• High level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines
• Highly collaborative, resourceful, quick thinking, curious with great calm and a good sense of humor
• Research and analytic experience required
Education & Work Experience:
• 5+ years experience in Children's Entertainment, Scripted Series and/or Studio/Production experience required
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Creative Writing or Film Studies is preferred but not required
Timing:
Full-time, to start ASAP
