Description
We are seeking an individual who has great interpersonal skills, is a self-starter, and has the ability to work remotely but also participate in creative group environments for photo shoots, film and etc. In this role you will work closely with the creative director, formulate and plan social media posts, put together documents for production, such as contacting modeling agencies, creative talent, brands, fashion design showrooms and media. They will assist in running the company's social media, writing press releases, creating and sending out company newsletters, and creating organized systems to keep track of designers, brands and companies that we work with. They will essentially act as a liaison between the talent, journalists and the general public including brands and clients. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, strong knowledge and an awareness of the ever-changing fashion and entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the Creative Director
Help maintain and update press reports
Maintain and expand on current PR databases with focus on strengthening tour markets, online & print lists
Manage press clippings database
Create and update sheets for artists
Social Media Planning
Media Engagement
Social Media Styling
Assist with press photo handling - resizing, filing, and distributing talent/artist press photos.
Research new and interesting ways to showcase talent/artist across all forms of media
Catalog festival/venue press lists and add to existing database
Publicity research tasks (e.g. researching photographers, stylists, makeup, etc)
Requirements
Computer, Mac preferred
Pursuing or in possession of Bachelor's degree in Publicity/Public Relations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Proficiency in Google Drive & DropBox
Proficiency in Social Media
Ability to multitask
Knowledge of brand and current talent/artist
