Full Time Job
Description: The MLBPAA seeks a creative and resourceful Program Assistant for its Membership and Development Departments. This individual is expected to develop and execute programs to successfully aid both departments in recruitment and fundraising efforts. A successful candidate is expected to work independently to create high quality community outreach and fundraising programs and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs.
Reports to: Director of Membership & Development
Job Type: Full Time / Colorado Springs, CO
Salary: $30,000 benefits after 90 days
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service to members and donors
• Assist with the procurement of membership dues and charitable donations
• Assist with the creation and implementation of annual development, membership, Giving Tuesday and year-end giving campaigns for both membership and development
• Coordinate event logistics of MLBPAA Alumni Day Series (reunion style events)
• Coordinate a Player Appreciation Program through the procurement of notable gifts, develop communication, cultivate relationship and execute delivery to all 30 MLB teams
• Communicate effectively with MLB team personnel to update player benefit information
• Assist in the planning and coordination of an annual meeting for MLB team personnel
• Coordinate and implement membership and development email marketing communications utilizing Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge Online Express and Luminate Online
• Coordinate Blackbaud's Luminate Online data/groups to ensure member information is accurate between Raiser's Edge and Luminate Online by utilizing Import-O-Matic tools (i.e. create accurate queries, determine lists then market appropriately)
• Assist in the engagement and marketing strategy for the MLBPAA's private online community administered by Personify Corp
• Coordinate The Wives Club Membership program
• Cultivate and maintain relationships, develop a membership recruitment strategic campaign, retention plan and continuously evaluate programs to ensure satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned
• Some travel required
Qualifications
and Preferred Skills:
• 1-2 years of Blackbaud user experience (including Raiser's Edge, Luminate Online, Import-O-Matic)
• General understanding of HTML & CSS (preferred)
• Knowledge and understanding of game of baseball
• Willingness to collaborate on creative projects
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and to manage time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task on a variety of different projects
• Proficient in MS office
