Memorabilia Sales Coordinator - Major League Alumni Marketing
Position: Memorabilia Sales Coordinator
Description: The Memorabilia Sales Coordinator is an entry-level position. This employee will play an important role in executing online and in-person sales, while assisting with day-to-day logistics. The objective is to manage online sales outlets and assist the Stadium Auction Program.
Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo., the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization in its 36th year of promoting the game of baseball, raising money for local charities and serving the unique needs of former players. Major League Alumni Marketing (MLAM) is a for-profit subsidiary of the MLBPAA striving to create and maintain lasting memories of baseball's heritage.
Reports to: Director of Memorabilia Operations & Director of Stadium Auction Programs
Job Type: Full Time / Colorado Springs, CO
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for coordinating, executing charitable signings and selling memorabilia
• Coordinate online sales and marketing for MLB.com and other online outlets
• Upload all new memorabilia to various online outlets
• Assist stadium auction program with logistics and staffing
• Assist with inventory management
• Provide excellent customer service
• Provide monthly sales reports to management
• Handle the processing of orders with accuracy and timeliness, and take responsibility for shipping sales orders
• Monitor the sales process, identify shortcomings and propose improvements
• Responsible for some consignment channels
• Work in conjunction with other departments to handle memorabilia promotions and/or sales
• Assist in reporting royalties
• Approximately 40% travel required: Spring Training, select signings and stadium auctions
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
and Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor's degree. Business/Marketing/Sales or related field a plus; 1-2 years experience in sales or marketing
• Self-starter, organized, committed individual who works under minimal supervision
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems and innovate new processes
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task on a variety of different projects
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A team player with a high level of dedication, positive attitude and hard-working
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
