Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Manager of New Business Development is to serve as the leader for the organization on our new business acquisition efforts. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Season Sales and Service but will have a focus on both season and group sales acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing season and group acquisition efforts on behalf of the department and the organization
• Responsible for managing the relationship with any third parties associated with organizations acquisition efforts
• Work closely with Ticket Sales Management Team to coordinate and engage staff involvement with acquisition related activities and initiatives
• Work closely with Senior Manager of Season Retention and Service to ensure proper on-boarding of new accounts and introduction of new STH's into the retention and loyalty program
• Responsible for managing Twins New Business Development Division and Inside Sales Division
• Part Time Staff 40 hours staffs ranging between 10 to 15 reps based on organizational needs
• Responsible for managing hours and staffing assignments
• Provide career growth opportunities identifying candidates for future full time employment
• Lead all talent acquisition hiring efforts for the department
• Oversee our training program and provide ongoing training and learning opportunities for acquisition divisions
• Provide clear direction to department and organization on acquisition initiatives
• Partake in the strategic planning process to determine annual sales metrics
Requirements:
• Previous managerial experience working with teams focused on revenue generation preferred
• Proven ability to hire, train, mentor and grow entry level sales executives
• Four plus years of sports ticket sales industry experience
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel and outlook as well as ability to learn and master new software programs
• Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends as needed
• 4-year college degree required
