Your Opportunity:
As the social responsibility assistant you will assist members of the Timberwolves & Lynx Social Responsibility department and work closely on the day-to-day operations, strategies and objectives of the department. We are looking for an organized, driven and passionate individual to join our dynamic team.
What would you do?
Reasonable accommodations may be made to you to perform these essential functions:
• Support Social Responsibility team during each Lynx home game by prepping for game nights, facilitating bench sits and escorting special guests.
• Facilitate archiving community event photos, updating community website and sending Social Responsibility honoree thank you letters.
• Assist with Tickets for Kids program.
• Facilitate monthly in-kind donation and Fan Mail mailings.
• Serve as an ambassador to community non-profits and Foundation contacts.
• Prepare and help execute community events with your co-workers to showcase and promote our brand to the community.
What are your proficiencies or equivalent experiences?
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience working in social responsibility, community engagement and/or volunteer/event experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work well on a team and independently.
• Ability to lead specific processes and tasks in the department under supervision.
