Summary/Objective: This position is responsible for providing in-house expertise and guidance on general computer, network, and audio/video technologies to both our business staff as well as the basketball operations staffs for both the Timberwolves and Lynx operations. You will be providing end-user support and troubleshooting technical issues on laptops and desktops (Majority of the environment is Mac based, with a handful of PCs), MFPs, VoIP phone system, and smart phones. For this position we are looking for someone with a strong customer service demeanor, that can work under pressure, and is able to help translate technical concepts in to straight forward and easy to understand instructions.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions:
1. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming issues and requests related to computer systems, software, hardware, and audio/video.
2. Bulk of the support will be provided hands on to end users in their office, cubes, meeting areas, offsite venues, and arena location. However remote assistance via tools such as ConnectWise or TeamViewer will also be required for travelling staff.
3. Be available for afterhours support via phone for staff traveling to games, meetings, and other events.
4. Provide support on game days and/or event day setup as needed at the arena or other offsite locations.
5. Produce and provide clear and concise documentation to end users on IT, audio/video systems and procedures.
6. Assist Director of Technology with projects and vendor management.
7. Assist with various hardware and software roll outs and upgrades.
8. Assist with escalation of Helpdesk tickets and/or other projects as assigned by Director of Technology.
9. Assist with Helpdesk functions when needed that include, but are not limited to: End user creation, Active Directory security, setting up and deploying both laptops and desktops, Asset Management, setting up DirecTV boxes, running cabling as needed, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other:
1. World class customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize requests.
2. Strong Mac skills.
3. General knowledge in networking.
4. Previous experience in running both CAT5e/6/6a cabling and coax cabling preferred.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. High level of proficiency in the Apple ecosystem around laptops, desktops, and tablets. This includes new deployments and complete rebuilds.
7. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, Box, and other similar cloud software.
8. Ability to manage workload with general instructions and periodic review from supervisor.
9. Proficiency in using remote tools such as ConnectWise or TeamViewer.
10. Preference to those who have supported audio/video needs such as projectors, digital devices such as AppleTV, DirecTV, or other such technology.
11. Must have the ability to pick up and successfully adapt to new software, hardware, and other technology quickly.
12. Be a strong troubleshooter and have the ability to research and solve problems on your own.
13. Ability to work well on a team and independently.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of support with Macs. Strong understanding of general networking. Previous experience with prioritizing your own workload and work requests in a very demanding environment.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibility
Work Environment
This job splits duties within a professional office environment and within a sports arena. Office hours may vary on a day to day basis which may include some evenings, weekends and holidays. In addition to working office hours staff may work external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Office work is generally sedentary in nature. The office working environment is generally favorable. Office lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Office work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes ascending and descending bleachers/steps, walking on a catwalk over arena floor (100 feet up), and crawling into tight and dimly lit spaces (under bleachers/risers) to troubleshoot technology issues. In the sports arena the work conditions may sometimes be dirty from prior events in the arena (sticky and dirty floors).
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, or crawl. The employee may frequently remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the building both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Travel
Position may require travel.
