We are looking to hire an Assistant to the YouTube Manager for the social media brand: Mini Katana. This is an entry-level position, hiring at $21 an hour. We're a social media brand that sells katanas, along with anime replica swords. You will work under the YouTube manager to help run and schedule the YouTube channel! We are a hybrid office that works both remotely and in person, so you must be able to commute to our office in LA! Must have a working laptop.
Mini Katana is an anime-focused katana company, and that sells real battle-ready swords and anime replica swords! The Mini Katana YouTube channel has accumulated nearly 600,000 subscribers in just 5 months, making it a fun and fast-paced environment! You'll work to help produce weekly anime video content for the channel, and help to set up and schedule the shoots for said video content. We pride ourselves on organic marketing as we were able to achieve 591K YT subs, 269K IG followers, and 1.4 million followers on TikTok, all without any paid ads.
Because a Link to our channel is not allowed here, look for MiniKatanaStore for our YouTube Channel.
The ideal candidate is someone that is detail orientated and has a general knowledge of YouTube, understanding of what goes into a shoot, is proficient at schedule coordination, basic Photoshop know-how, and great organizational skills! The assistant will help schedule shoots, assist in general YouTube channel management, and help gather equipment. This is a great entry-level position for someone looking to get into Digital Media or Producing.
YouTube Manager's Assistant responsibilities include:
• Helping to schedule future video shoots: assisting in crew and prop gathering, securing location licenses, reaching out to talent, picking up equipment rentals
• Managing YouTube Manager's schedule, and keeping track of the channel's schedule
• Organization of files, payments, and invoices
• Assisting in Thumbnail generation
• Analyzing YouTube analytics, and finding optimal SEO engagement terms
This is an assistant position, and while YouTube knowledge is appreciated, it certainly is not required.
Requirements and Skills:
• Scheduling, organization, and time management experience
• MUST HAVE A Driver's License and Car
• Basic Photoshop experience
• Film background, and knowledge of what goes into a shoot, call sheet, etc. Any camera experience would be a huge plus!
• Anime knowledge is not required, but is appreciated!
