Summary:
The Video Display Technician is responsible for the technical management, troubleshooting and operation of the three digital display and Audio/Video systems at Fiserv Forum and its surrounding campus:
1. Cisco Vision Internet protocol (IP) TV system.
2. Daktronics LED Video Display System.
3. Crestron AV Systems.
The Video Display Technician shall work as part of a team of technical resources that support these same systems. This position will serve as a Fiserv Forum point of contact for events (basketball games, concerts, conferences, entertainment plaza etc.) and will be required to expedite requests and issues as applicable. The Video Display Tech will also be responsible for performing basic Cisco Vision and Daktronics maintenance and administration as well as performing basic troubleshooting across the overall system to identify issues impacting standard Cisco Vision and Daktronics operations. This shall be done under the guidance of an on-staff Network Engineers, Broadcast Engineers, Cisco Vision Lead and Daktronics Lead. The Video Display Technician will also provide A/V support for the broadcast team, Fiserv Forum and Bucks front office.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as Cisco Vision and Daktronics event day operator and support person and managing escalation to senior team members and outside tech support as needed.
• Create and manipulate Cisco Vision and Daktronics scripts used to control video display systems.
• Safely manage content and playlists and playback through Cisco Vision and Daktronics.
• Perform building-wide quality control checks for events.
• Work closely with building food and beverage representatives to manage dynamic menu signage.
• Assist in deploying new DMP hardware and other hardware and provide troubleshoot of equipment.
• Document system issues from IPTV system and Daktronics logs and maintain shared Knowledge Base.
• Perform other duties as assigned including support of Audio and Video equipment.
Qualification Requirements:
• Associates degree or higher, and 2 years of progressively responsible positions in a related field or specific experience in the job offered.
• Experience operating IT based systems in a real-time live production environment.
• Effective communication, time management, and customer management skills.
• Comfortable working in high-pressure environment requiring real-time decision making.
• Understanding of basic cabling and connectivity diagrams of interconnected systems and devices.
• Experience with graphical content creation (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite).
• Self-starter requiring little supervision that is highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for event preparation, operation, and system maintenance.
• Experience with live broadcast production environments a plus.
