Position Summary:
The Operations Coordinator will assist in the oversight of all operational matters regarding special events, sporting events and housekeeping. This individual will provide leadership and direction ensuring each event is operated at the highest level of professional standards.
Position Responsibilities:
• Work closely and coordinate Arena conversions with the conversion team.
• Actively pursue, develop, and maintain methods for improving the conversion efficiency within the Operations Team.
• Support internal and external events for the arena and training facility from an operations standpoint.
• Work closely with the event managers and coordinators for all events.
• Maintain all storage areas and make sure they are neat and cleaned.
• Keep and maintain inventory for all arena and training center equipment.
• Communicate between shifts the necessary tasks that still need to be completed.
• Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors etc.
• Enforce all changeover policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow written instruction, interpret AutoCAD drawings and blueprints.
• Maintain all operational equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
This position requires a seasoned professional with energy, passion, entrepreneurial spirit and the following:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in facility operations preferably with a sports facility, convention center or other multipurpose public assembly facility.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high pressure environment and possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work event nights, weekends, overnight conversions and holidays as required.
• Ability to climb stairs and lift 70 lbs., unaided.
• Basic data processing and Microsoft Office skills required.
Position Evaluation:
