Full Time Job
Summary This position is responsible for the purchasing and management of product for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club Retail Department, which maintains store locations at American Family Field (in Milwaukee) and American Family Fields of Phoenix (in Phoenix).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
• Analyze and forecast sales and profitability numbers to continually refine product mix, control expenses, manage Open to Buy and ultimately achieve organizational retail goals.
• Generate and analyze product sales and inventory reports.
• Create a merchandise assortment plan and work with MLB Licensees to select assortment of licensed product to be sold for the Milwaukee Brewers.
• Negotiate with MLB Licensees to ensure cost and retail targets are achieved for specific MLB Licensed product.
• Work closely with the retail team to monitor inventory levels and adjust buys (increase or decrease) based on current sales trends.
• Travel to MLB Retail Shows/Seminars/Summits.
• Oversee Spring Training retail merchandise buys, store set up and inventory management
• Manage Merchandise Manager; Direct product placement in stores and kiosks/portables through floor maps and visual display plan. Monitor purchase orders to ensure proper delivery of product and correct pricing.
• Oversee the Authentics product and manage the Authentics Manager on Authentics/Game Used items and memorabilia to be sold at the ballpark, MLBShop and through auctions.
• Work with ownership and other departments in the organization to coordinate, purchase and create unique items for Brewers front office needs including, but not limited to, ownership/investor events, game day staff uniforms, sponsor/SSH/Suite Holder gifts, Brewers Community Foundation items and other product projects as deemed relevant.
• Purchasing and fulfilling Brewers front office product needs.
• Oversee inventory-related POS functions including purchase order generation, item cataloging, allocation and distribution.
• Verify accuracy of invoices, match to purchase orders, key and pay via POS system.
• Prepare and deliver financial information and other customized reports and facilitate insightful weekly and monthly meetings with the retail and finance departments to keep them apprised of the retail financials.
Qualifications

• Advanced math skills; proficient in MS Excel and retail POS/Inventory systems.
Education
and/or Experience
• Minimum three years of retail buying and forecasting at a management level; Sports retail purchasing a plus
• Minimum five years management experience in a retail environment.
• Bachelor's Degree with Business Management or Sports Management preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Work Hours
Regular business office hours are Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekend, evenings and some holidays.
