Part Time Job
Summary The Milwaukee Brewers Grounds Crew is responsible for the overall maintenance and care of the American Family Field Facility. This responsibility includes American Family field, a 30-acre landscape surrounding the stadium and Helfaer Youth Baseball Facility. The Grounds Crew is a part-time, seasonal position, beginning mid-March and continuing through October with winter hours possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
• Professional daily field maintenance
• Set-up and breakdown of batting practice materials and equipment
• Pre-game and post-game field preparations
• In-game duties and shop work
• Assist with seasonal landscape maintenance
• Maintain Helfaer Little League Field (day, night and weekend shifts required)
• Assist in maintaining a well-organized, clean, professional looking shop and break room area
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing
• Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays from March through October
• Ability to perform physical tasks, with or without accommodation such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Responds well to management team and able to learn new tasks/processes quickly, while seeking feedback
• Ability to work independently and in large group settings
• Demonstrate the ability to safely operate all equipment and machinery
• Successful candidates will be self-driven and possess a passion for baseball and grounds maintenance alike
Education
and/or Experience
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to rake, shovel, tamp or move materials/ equipment around. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Nights, weekends and holiday hours may be required.
