Mills Entertainment is looking for an immediate replacement for a Touring Electrician/Deck Crew position for an upcoming production.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with Tour Manager to advance Electrics with each tour venue and finalize line set schedules for each venue with the Tour Carpenter
• Supervise and direct local lighting crew throughout lighting load-in, focus, and strike.
• Maintain all tour lighting equipment, including basic maintenance and troubleshooting on moving fixtures and console when necessary
• Update and maintain show files and paperwork.
• Run the deck during performances with the Tour Carpenter
• Call the truck pack as needed
• Lend assistance to other departments when available
• Share in driving responsibilities with touring company. Tour travels in 2 Sprinter Vans.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficient at programming, operating, and troubleshooting on an ETC Ion and proficient with the set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of Mac Viper Profile's
• Competent with the set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of MIDI show control
• Experience with basic rigging techniques and experienced with calling a conventional lighting focus
• Positive attitude and the ability to remain effective under pressure
• Prior experience working with and supervising a local crew under IATSE union regulations and prior experience in providing general direction to a crew
Preferred Skills
• Higher consideration will be given to candidates with related touring experience of 2 years or more
• Higher consideration will be given to candidates with a background in theatre
Additional Information:
Position runs from January 16, 2022 - May 16,2022. Rate is $1000+ per week plus $40 per day per diem. This is a touring position that may require driving. Travel and accommodations are provided.
