POSITION SUMMARY:
We're looking for a driven individual with a minimum, 2 years of experience working in a music PR firm looking to further grow and develop a career in PR. This Associate Publicist has a strong communication skillset, unbeatable work ethic and remarkable desire to help assigned clients achieve their goals and build effective awareness in the media throughout a publicity campaign. The successful team player will possess extensive public relations knowledge, writing and storytelling competency, strong relationship skills, in addition to the ability to work and collaborate effectively within a highly team-centric, results-driven environment.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'D BE DOING:
Expertly execute well-strategized publicity campaigns for assigned company clients.
Responsible for working on multiple client campaigns simultaneously.
Skillfully and thoroughly educate the media on a client's project.
Deliver best-in-class communication, internally with colleagues and externally with clients and media, on a daily basis.
Continually build new relationships and nurture existing relationships with the media and industry.
Join a team that positively participates in an environment that encourages innovation and creativity.
Actively participate in a company vision and culture where internal teams and respective clients can see and feel excited and inspired to be involved with.
Contribute to industry dialogue, publications and events by adding unique perspective and knowledge when opportunities arise.

Experience communicating passionately with a client's team which can include any combination of: managers, department heads at labels, emerging artists, icon-level artists, agents, assistants and other involved publicists.
A strong passion for music in general and an appreciation for the pop, rock and country/Americana genres, specifically.
An understanding that there is always another media outlet that should be pitched or a journalist that should be educated on a client's project during a campaign.
You are equipped with a strong publicist tool box, filled with:
*Colorful, articulate vocabulary.
*Ability to find angels and tell a story or pull a story out of a client.
*Skill to craft a captivating pitch.
*Knows how to pitch via phone, email, in-person or through other socially acceptable mediums.
*An understanding of the importance follow ups and how to elevate them.
