POSITION OVERVIEW
The Creative Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the Head of Creative Development to identify, source, and develop Michael Cassel Group's creative development projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and solicit new project submissions and commissions from established and emerging artists who are looking to create and develop their own work.
- Identify, assess, and make recommendations about potential producing/ presenting and investment opportunities.
- Attend productions, showcases, workshops and readings to determine if properties available for acquisition, co-production, or investment.
- Research the availability of rights options and deadlines for intellectual property to be developed as well as current or previous productions.
- Negotiate contractual terms for deals for IP ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of contractual arrangements.
- Other duties as required.

Requirements
- Proven track record in developing projects and ideas from conception to realisation.
- Strong creative skills, thoughtful, with the ability to critically analyse and assess viability of projects and productions.
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience in a commercial entertainment environment, including production experience.
- A passion for theatre and live performance.
- Commercially focused and results driven, possessing well developed entertainment industry knowledge and experience.
- Well-connected and respected by artists, agents, writers, composers, and lyricists within the theatrical community.
- Comprehensive understanding of the globalised entertainment industry and markets.
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, operations, and legislation pertaining to the live performance industry.
- Demonstrated financial acumen including budget preparation and review.
- Solid computer skills including, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Travel within the USA and internationally is a requirement of the role.
- Legally entitled to work in the USA.
- Relevant College Degree, and/or equivalent experience.

Salary range for the role is between $70,000 - $80,000.
