Part Time Paid Internship
Position Summary:
The Marketing internship is a full-time paid (minimum wage) six month internship position from January-June 2019. The Marketing Intern is responsible for providing strategy & engagement support and assistance to the Marketing Department, as needed. This includes all efforts surrounding strategic business planning, media buying and digital marketing, with the objectives of driving revenue and building the brand.
Essential Functions:
• Support all efforts related to strategic marketing of the club in the South Florida market, with the primary objective of helping build and execute marketing plans that drive revenue for the business through ticket sales, ballpark events and corporate partnerships
• Assist with executing cross-departmental marketing plans that weave together Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Media, Game Presentation, Events & Promotions, and other departments across the company, around top business priorities
• Assist with market research, segmentation planning, surveying and understanding industry best practices, as needed
• Assist with media planning, buying and trafficking, as needed
• Assist with digital marketing, website maintenance and email marketing, as needed
• Assist the marketing department with all other tasks, as assigned, including, but not limited to, assisting with game day activations
Qualifications
& Requirements:
• Strong grasp of grammatical rules and spelling
• A strong communicator – both verbally and written – with dynamic copy writing abilities
• Excellent oral and written skills in English and Spanish preferred
• A strong work ethic and taking pride in their work
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, accountable and self-sufficient
• Must have strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• Degree with emphasis in Marketing or related field preferred.
