Health and Safety Compliance Coordinator (Seasonal)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strong communicator and detailed-oriented seasonal team member to assist with the Marlins' health and safety compliance efforts. As a Health Ambassador you will provide our staff with guidance and reminders on healthy behaviors and proper protocols related to COVID-19. In this role you will also help lead our efforts in effective, timely, and empathetic contact tracing. Each conversation will be documented, and you will maintain ongoing communication with contacts to assess symptoms, ensure compliance with quarantine requirements, and determine social support needs and/or handle reporting of issues that arise.
On gamedays, you will safely and strategically engage in dialogue with team members about the importance of mask-wearing, physical distancing, proper cough/hand hygiene, and to ensure that questions and expectations surrounding health and safety guidelines are addressed.
Essential Functions:
• Lead employee contact tracing by performing the initial interview of persons with probable or confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis and/or close contact(s) thereof to gather information necessary for contact tracing determinations and protocol, including determination of potential exposure, inquiry as to symptoms, referrals for testing according to established protocols, and providing guidance for isolation or quarantine
• Maintain ongoing communication with contacts to inquire as to symptoms, ensure compliance with isolation and or quarantine protocols, and determine social support needs and/or handle reporting of issues that arise
• Provide necessary coaching for staff regarding healthy behaviors and proper COVID-19 protocols by adopting the ''approach and coach'' mentality
• Follow our COVID-19 health and safety protocols and processes
• Educate contacts on approved best practices and protocols to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread
• Assist with preparing health and safety kits, including masks, sanitizers, tests, etc. as needed for staff and families
• Collect and document detailed COVID-19 related information and provide reporting as needed
• Protect individual privacy and maintain confidentiality of all COVID-19 related information collected
Qualifications
& Requirements:
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide range of individuals
• Superior skill in customer service, organizing, and time management
• Computer skills are necessary and should include the ability to access and navigate various platforms such as Microsoft 365
• Equally comfortable working individually and within a team environment that emphasizes collaboration
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
• AA degree preferred
• Experience in healthcare and customer service preferred
