Full Time Job
Description of the Position: This position currently serves to lead strategy for the creation and promotion of content for the HEAT mobile APP as well as contribute to the organization of the content team's editorial/production calendar.
Platform Specific Content Strategy Development
This person will be responsible for strategy of content creation and promotion for the mobile app spanning team coverage, marketing partnerships, ticketing, merchandise, and community programs and lead a team in the execution of this strategy. Works with Digital Content Director, Creative Content Producer and lead the App team on content creation across all platforms, including an adept ability to copywrite, proactively identify content opportunities, create reactionary content, and synergize our brand with trending moments and pop culture elements in real time.
Content Distribution & Push Notification Strategy
Collaborate with product developers to optimize the platform's technical solutions and data flows for new features and functionality that solves for innovative storytelling, engagement, and best user experience.
Develop an effective push notification strategy that engages audience members and drives them to take action.
Editorial Calendar Management
This person will own the management of day-to-day editorial calendar for the Mobile APP as well as the aid in the maintenance of the overarching content team's calendar.
Innovation And Industry Expertise
Identifies industry best practices and innovations with an ability to translate them to actionable learnings and opportunities. The ideal candidate is well-versed in digital media, emerging technology, industry innovation, and the latest trends.
Digital Reporting & Actionable Insights
This person will also be responsible for weekly digital reporting on content performance of the mobile platform, working closely with the Content Marketing Analyst to translate content performance into insights.
Brand Stewardship
Significant knowledge of sports, basketball and the HEAT is a requirement. 3-5 years working in or covering the sports industry is ideal.
• Significant knowledgeable of the NBA landscape and HEAT team, including performance and stats, industry trends, basketball culture and fan engagement with the NBA and its athletes
• Experience working in social media and digital content. Fully proficient in mobile platforms
• Ability to navigate and prioritize in very sensitive, high paced environments - including collaborating with various departments to push work forward
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Digital/Social software, Urban Airship.
• Sports journalism experience is preferred

Minimum Qualification
• 5 or more years experience in content development, strategy or related fields
• BA or above in journalism, marketing, communications or related field
• At least 3 years of direct management experience
• Knowledge of social and mobile experiences
• Enterprise or business product experience
