Description of the Position: This position currently serves to maintain and update the Miami Heat App on a daily basis, and assist on the execution of content strategies all across the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist the Miami Heat Mobile Content Manager on the execution of the editorial strategy.
• Create, publish, maintain and update the Miami Heat App with the most current information. This includes but is not limited to: Game previews & recaps, articles, videos, photo galleries, quizzes, etc.
• Publish, maintain and update the Miami Heat App on Marketing, Sales and any other initiatives of the organization that include but are not limited to: Contests, promotions, rosters, galleries, campaigns, etc.
• Assist in keeping track of creative requests for the Mobile App.
• Assist Internet Services and Corporate Services with the proper placement and maintenance of corporate advertisements within the app.
• Assist in the distribution and scheduling of push notifications. Work in sync with the Product team on scheduling, publishing and tracking.
• Write copy all across the digital platforms.
• Assist in the creation and fulfillment of Mobile Marketing initiatives.
• Fast-paced editing and creation of graphics.
BA or above in journalism, marketing, communications or related field. 3 or more years' experience in content development, strategy or related fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Expertise in CMS, Adobe Photoshop and content tools in general. Significant knowledge of the NBA landscape and HEAT team, including performance and stats, industry trends, basketball culture and fan engagement with the NBA and its athletes. Experience working in social media and digital content. Fully proficient in mobile platforms. Ability to navigate and prioritize in very sensitive, high paced environments - including collaborating with various departments to push work forward. Knowledge of traffic measurement, data analytics and metrics in general. Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Digital/Social software, Urban Airship. Sports journalism experience is preferred. Video editing and production skills a strong plus . Must be willing to work on weekends, nights and some Holidays.
