Part Time Unpaid Internship
Position Summary: The Miami HEAT is seeking to hire a Creative Services Intern for the 2018 fall semester. This is a position dedicated to assisting the Creative Traffic Controller ensure the Creative Services Department functions quickly, efficiently, and effectively. The Creative Services Intern will report directly to the Creative Traffic Controller. The ideal candidate will have experience in interdepartmental communication and excellent organizational skills. Must demonstrate knowledge of the Miami HEAT brand. Must be ready to embrace and contribute to the creative process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
• Daily check-ins with internal clientele on status of various jobs
• Keep excellent notes in meetings and creative sessions
• Contribute ideas and concepts when called upon
• Assure that design jobs are finished accurately and on time
• Work directly with vendors for any signage or print orders.
• Assist the Creative Traffic Controller in any capacity necessary
College student, preferably junior or senior. Student major preferably communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or sports entertainment. Above average knowledge of the game of basketball and NBA trends. Above average knowledge of Miami HEAT history. Ability to work approximately 30 hours per week. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
