Description of the Position: The Miami HEAT is seeking a qualified Digital Strategist to lead development of long-term digital strategies that result in increased digital lead generation, customer acquisition, and overall revenue. You will leverage data insights and be responsible for providing strategic thought leadership recommendations for marketing. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure sales and conversion objectives are met through all digital channels. Ultimately, you should be able to think holistically about how data, analytics and various marketing levers can best be utilized to support aggressive customer acquisition and retention objectives..
Essential Duties
• Curate data from internal sources including Business Intelligence, CRM, web analytics, marketing automation tools and social channels in pursuit of valuable insights to drive strategic and tactical planning for marketing campaigns.
• Develop accurate and insightful conclusions from research data and clearly articulates strategic recommendations for marketing.
• Design and recommend ways to use digital consumer behavior and performance data as a tool to generate revenue
• Possess and apply broad experience with range of digital marketing strategies using all relevant digital channels (i.e. social, programmatic, SEM, mobile, web, e-mail)
• Assist in the development of demand gen strategies and tactics through an understanding of all data sources and digital channels available
• Define campaign performance metrics and measurement plans. Manipulate, analyze and visualize data to reveal trends in marketing program performance and customer behavior, and identify key opportunities based on analysis. Actively pursue existing and new data collection methods, ensuring standardization and accuracy in which that data is collected and stored
• Partner with Creative teams to manage and improve content to meet objectives
• Participate in regular meetings with management/leadership to review statuses, opportunities, etc
• Monitor competition and provide ideas to stand out
• Stay up-to-date with digital technology developments
Key Skills
• Approximately 6-8 years of overall business experience primarily in digital campaign conversion
• Experience in as many of the following areas of consumer marketing: traditional and digital media buying and planning, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, advertising, product and service development, web development, mobile marketing, social media, digital advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
• This role will require someone with a depth of understanding about how brands succeed in digital, and the ability to recognize and provide direction about new trends, and oversee strategy development and briefs.
• Experiencing managing individuals is a plus, and that can include direct management or cross-functional leadership to develop and continuously improve our staff professionally.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation experience to senior executives as well as a thought leadership in digital marketing (white papers, industry trade articles, etc.). Experience designing and running workshops is ideal.
• BA or BS degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant field
