Metro Public Relations is an award-winning entertainment PR and creative marketing agency with teams in Los Angeles and NYC. We represent top studios, production companies, brands, events, traditional/digital talent, podcasts, and platforms.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Executive for our entertainment division. The ideal candidate has strong consumer and industry/trade experience (B2B experience is also a plus). Position will work across consumer, TV, podcast, and digital entertainment clients. The ideal candidate is able to lead client communication, manage teams and client expectations, develop strategic messaging and campaigns, and move new business efforts forward.

Responsibilities and duties:
- Write press releases, pitches, biographies, media materials and other client & company-related documents
- Client interface - lead client conversations, regularly scheduled client calls and meetings, and troubleshoot client issues proactively, autonomously. and will little to no oversight. Make strategic recommendations to the client that align with their goals.
- Leads brand-building for our clients' spokespeople - develop strategy and seek/secure speaking and media opportunities to elevate their profiles.
- Heavy media outreach. Ability to strategically pivot tactics when hitting roadblocks.
- Maintain strong press relationships and continues to make efforts to strengthen existing and grow new press contacts.
- Lead the execution of client events.
- Ability to manage and delegate to team members across accounts. This role will also serve as a mentor for junior staff to help them grow, help with time management, oversee assignments, provide pitch edits, etc.
- Campaign development: demonstrates creativity and proactively develops strategic plans for each project, and sees it through to its successful completion. Can go outside the box to exceed client expectations.
- Participate in new business process, including proactive outreach, joining meetings, preparing decks and proposals, and helping close
- Research: staying informed on client achievements and growth to support our PR early
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in relevant communications field preferred
At least 5+ years experience in PR. Agency experience highly preferred
Strong media relationships across consumer and industry trade press
Previous experience working with top film, television, media, consumer, and/or digital clients
