We are seeking a talented and motivated VP of DevOps who is a change agent and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our executive leadership you'll help instill a DevOps culture across the entire digital organization, driving more ownership back to the individual product and development teams. Your team will be responsible for operations, automation, monitoring, and deployment activities of our digital infrastructure.

What you will do:
* Lead DevOps for EPIX, ensuring - through systems and operations - the maximally high performance, quality, availability and responsiveness of all promotional and subscriber growth/retention digital user experiences such as EPIX web sites and applications, as well as the production APIs & software systems that power them
* Drive a culture change in partner product teams to adopt DevOps and improve operational excellence
* Acting as a key stakeholder in the team's overall work management process (Agile/Scrum), ensuring that DevOps tasks are captured, prioritized, assigned and performed with high velocity and minimal defects, advocating for operations priorities during sprint planning, ensuring that any new feature/product development has operational requirements and dependencies considered from the beginning.
* Build out our next generation multi-CDN, multi AZ/Region and multi-tenant systems
* Establish a scalable Site Reliability Engineering function, including integrated, automated monitoring and Self-healing
* Manage capacity management, applying the right resources as products grow and workload changes
* Architecture, development and delivery of production systems
* Establishment of KPIs, metrics and monitoring that ensure a high bar for uptime, and provide deep visibility into system health
* Security and compliance, from threat monitoring to compliance with appropriate security standards for Software as a service (SSAE 16, ISAE 3402, etc.)
* Provide 24x7 monitoring and response processes
* Budgeting and capacity planning for the DevOps team and systems
* Recruiting: being on the constant lookout for the best talent to bring onboard
What you will need:
* A track record building digital and distributed applications end-to-end
* Passionate about DevOps as an engineering culture, containers, data management, and building stateful applications in modern clusters
* A history of leadership and service in developer and DevOps communities
* Ability to drive the DevOps engineering function to materially accelerate the productivity of development, QA, and operations teams through automation and repeatable processes
* Have great technical writing skills demonstrated via documentation and other written work
* Follow and apply the latest trends in the DevOps industry
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and propose alternative business solutions using clear and concise language
* Deep experience with deploying to and running on public cloud platforms, with particular experience in Amazon AWS
* Deep knowledge of infrastructure, global scaling, high availability, security, release practices
* Strong influence skills at the senior leadership level
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent
* 10 years of DevOps experience
* 5 years in a leadership/executive role
