OVERVIEW OFROLE:
The Analyst will play a key role inmanaging the inventory volume and quality of EPIX's programming assets,including theatrical titles and original programming. Additionally, the Analyst will conduct researchand prepare ad-hoc analyses as well as support content acquisitionefforts.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management
Ensure contractual obligations with EPIXcontent provider and distributors such as title volume and box officethresholds
Support Acquisition, Scheduling, Marketing, Digital, Operations,Business Development and Finance by providing inventory avails for variousdepartmental needs
Key contributor and user of company's asset management andscheduling system. Interface with Legal,Scheduling, Finance, Operations, and IT in updating the system and improveworkflow processes and efficiencies
Track the content's programming quality for future acquisitions byresearching and analyzing the content's genre, age, cast, programming grade,etc.
Help manage ongoing relationship with small independentdistributors on asset delivery and replacements
Work with Legal, Finance, and Operations to review currentprogramming agreements to ensure delivery and payment of programming assets
Analysis and Research
Conduct analysis and research including forecasting and modelingof key variables such as license fees, license windows, title volume, boxoffice, and viewership data
Perform competitive research on premium pay television andsubscription service companies as well as industry trends
Support Programming and Finance with monthly forecasts and annualbudgets
SKILL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required
2 years of relevant workexperience; media industry experience preferred
Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and has a passion for theentertainment industry
Self-starter who can work independently and across teams withdifferent backgrounds/skill-sets
Strong analytical skills
Must be organized, detail oriented and able to handle multipletasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment with constantly changingdeadlines
Highly proficient in Excel and solid knowledge of Word andPowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
