Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM Studios") is seeking a highly motivated and exceptionally experienced Sales and Marketing Technology Leader (SMTL Unicorn). Made up of one part IT geek and one part integrated sales and marketing expert, this hybrid professional straddles the fence between both worlds. The SMTL at MGM Studios is responsible for defining the vision, and implementing the strategy relevant to the capabilities and systems needed to support the successful growth and operation of our respective Sales and Marketing organizations. Our SMTL will help create the roadmap for the company's digital architecture designed to attract and retain customers. You will eliminate marketing and technology silos, and improve deployment of new technologies to increase customer engagement in all digital channels.
The SMT leader will have accountability and ownership of the MarTech roadmap and work with our delivery partners and vendors in enabling, utilizing and expanding our MarTech abilities. As the sales and marketing systems and capabilities continue to evolve, this leader will keep current. They will help their partners remain educated on the changing capabilities of systems while maintaining a careful balance in the pace of change to ensure maximum adoption of the capabilities already enabled. The SMTL will be equally comfortable discussing the taxonomy of website properties, the click-through rates of the latest PPC campaign, or marketing trends impacting both and knows a CDP from a DMP. The SMTL must know how to capitalize on data and technology to fulfill organizational goals to deliver on our target OKRs.
Responsibilities:
The SMTL must understand the valuable potential of automation to streamline the functions of both sales and marketing teams. They should understand how systems could interconnect to integrate data between platforms and must work across all digital channels to improve business performance.
• Serving as super-user and product evangelist for a variety of digital tools from SFDC to Adobe and everything in-between
• Content management and Customer Relationship Management platforms
• Campaigning marketing tools including social monitoring and targeting
• Change management, including implementation of new marketing technology rollouts
• Potentially overseeing training of software and user adoption
• Oversee product enhancement and continuous integration/continuous delivery
• Relationship management with internal technology users and vendors
• Optimizing technology investments and overseeing the technology responsible for marketing intelligence and providing actionable insight to clients or internal stakeholders
Education
al and Personal Characteristics:
The SMTL will work closely with cross-functional teams. They should work well under pressure, with communication that should be equally effective with IT, marketing, and sales. The SMTL is a collaborator and a team leader, bridging gaps between departments that sometimes do not speak the same language. Think of the SMTL as the interpreter between these sometimes-disparate departments.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science and a graduate degree in marketing or business
• Salesforce certifications desirable. CSM, CSPO, CSD or equivalent Agile certifications also desirable
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience in programmatic marketing and database software (SQL) is highly preferred
• Ability to effectively partner with 3rd party external agencies & other partners
• Experience and interest in managing and motivating others, both directly and indirectly
• Good relationship building skills; an ability to create rapport
• Strong time management, planning and organizational skills
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills. Confident with speaking in groups and putting forth one's perspective
