Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking a Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to provide support in multiple HR areas including onboarding/offboarding, talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management for all corporate employees. In addition, the ideal candidate will cover the recruiting essentials of searching for top tier talent and will help develop recruiting strategies that promote effective methods to source and evaluate talent for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Human Resources:
• Serve as first point of contact for onboarding new hires and conduct new hire orientations, handle onboarding paperwork, process payroll paperwork, and input new hires in HRIS system
• Coach and advise management on a variety of issues and ensure proper resolution of employee relations issues
• Conduct 90-day check-ins with supervisors and employees to ensure a positive employee experience
• Work cross-functionally with Corporate Finance, Accounting, Legal, Payroll, Benefits and IT on a variety of employee-related matters
• Conduct exit interviews
• Organize the annual performance assessment process for employees and managers
• Recruiting / Talent Acquisition:
• Manage full cycle recruiting process: identify, engage, evaluate, and hire top talent
• Provide a positive experience for every candidate from application stage to offer while evaluating skill level, driving the interview process, running reference checks, making salary recommendations, and closing of candidate offers
• Partner with the hiring managers throughout the interview process to develop job descriptions, identify candidates, and manage the candidate experience
• Manage the inbound applicant pipeline, while identifying passive job seekers using a full range of recruitment tactics and resources
• Understand requirements and sourcing challenges of each role
• Ensure progression of recruitment activities: ensure that candidates are moving through the interview process, feedback is collected post-interview, and candidates are kept in the loop of the status
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree
• 3 - 5years in Human Resources and/or Recruiting in a corporate setting; prior entertainment industry experience a plus
• Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and a wide range of managers/employees both individually and in groups
• Demonstrated ability to assess and problem solve employee relations issues
• Must be able to handle highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook)
• Familiarity with ATS and HRIS systems; experience with ADP a plus
• Experience with OrgPlus or Vizio preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through skills are of the highest importance
• Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and problem solve
• Self-starter with a driven, motivated work ethic
• Cooperative, supportive, and positive team-oriented approach
