OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The VOD Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the monthly video-on-demand asset delivery/work order document for all multi-platform affiliate partners. This position serves as the key liaison to our external file preparation and transport service operations gathering and tracking all necessary program metadata, tech specs and associated content information for file distribution.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create extensive monthly VOD asset delivery/work order documents
• Collect and enter all metadata required for all EPIX affiliates/platforms
• Track and input necessary tech specs and key art requirements
• Communicate with the Operations department to address and resolve any asset issues that arise including any customized program formatting for special events
• Coordinate with Creative Services department on delivery of promotional & branding assets needed for stitching purposes
• Create and provide Metadata Updates (MDUs) when necessary
• Fulfill any re delivery requests to partners
• Serve as the key contact to external file prep and delivery operations (e.g. VUBIQUITY)
• Perform regular follow up affiliate delivery audits to confirm proper distribution and
placement of assets with our MVPD and Digital Distribution partner's platforms
• Track and maintain delivery schedule for Spanish language assets
SKILL REQUIREMENTS,
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's Degree, Media Studies preferred
• 2 years of experience in TV/entertainment media services required
• Spanish reading and writing skills strongly preferred
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Extremely detail oriented
• VOD/Video file prep technical knowledge
• Highly proficient computer skills; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, data-bases, e-mail, etc.
• Familiarity of scheduling systems (e.g. Gabriel, Sintec/IBMS, WHAT'SOn, WideOrbit, etc.)
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time well
• Must be able to communicate and interact well with a diverse group of people across many departments both internally and externally
• VOD/Scheduling system experience preferred
