Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking a Post Production Coordinator to join our Unscripted Post Production team. This position is highly administrative, serving as a pivotal role for the Corporate Post Department to run efficiently. Your supportive role in this department will enable us to best support our shows' Post Teams; ensuring that the Company's show archives are properly acquired, inventoried, readily secured, and accessible for all future needs. This is an ideal position to hone your knowledge of the overall Post Production and Asset Inventory Processes.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the Executive Director and Manager of Unscripted Post in regards to the coordination of all incoming/outgoing digital, video, sound, and documentation for our Unscripted shows
• Acquire a working knowledge of both MGM and Network delivery requirements and technical specifications
• Maintain current and archival show inventory databases, ensuring that all physical materials received from our shows are accurately inventoried and accessible
• Maintain internal status reports and calendar in light of ever-changing show Post calendar updates, in addition to other Departmental grids & spreadsheets
• Liaise with our off-site storage facility regarding the in/out traffic of inventory
• Acquire a working knowledge of the MGM Unscripted show library, and their respective inventories
• Field phone calls and scheduling for the Executive Director and the Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of Post-Production related experience, preferably Coordinating on an Unscripted show(s) or at a Post Production Facility.
• Excellent communication skills
• Extremely motivated, detailed-oriented and eager to help streamline the Corporate post and asset inventory processes
• Knowledge of current post production workflows
• Eager to keep up with new trends in the industry (video formats & codecs, new media innovations, hardware & software technologies, etc.)
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong level of professionalism, reliability, and a high quality of work.
• A strong aptitude for troubleshooting, time management, and problem solving
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to make contributions toward accomplishing departmental goals
• A knowledge of Avid workflows, Filemaker Pro (Pilotware), Transcoding & Compression codecs, Microsoft Office & Excel, MediaSilo, QuickTime Pro
• Ability to deal with various hardware, such as XDCam video decks, hard drives, DVD burners & printers, etc.
