Description
Start date: March/April 2018
Responsibilities
Assist Supervisor and/or Producer with bidding and scheduling as required
Reviews and Interviews potential candidates with Recruitment as required
Recommends artists for tasks in collaboration with Supervisor
Attends Dailies, walkthroughs, and production meetings
Interpreting and communicating the VFX and Surfacing Supervisors feedback and vision to the team
Take briefs and direction from Surfacing Supervisor & VFX Supervisors to execute assigned tasks and ensuring this is delivered to the highest quality and standard.
Help with the development of standard lighting rigs & setups for verifying aspects of look development
Surfacing work as required
Delivering final shaded assets that are of the highest technical and aesthetic standards and quality in line with the brief and schedule
Document and maintain a shader library
Identifies problems and effectively implements solutions in consultation with Supervisors
Keeps Supervisors and Production abreast of any concerns regarding schedule or delivery of shots
Present work clearly in dailies and desk reviews
Mentors less experienced staff members
Continuing to become familiar with new tools, software, data and other related technology
Qualifications
At least 2 years Leading experience in a VFX Pipeline
Expert knowledge of Maya and Vray
Experience with Mari, Zbrush, Mudbox, or other texture and normal/displacement map generation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough knowledge of grooming tools.
Knowledge of Vray shader writing and rendering
Ability to script as required
Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver consistently high quality work,

An education or interest in real world lighting and photography
An approachable, proactive and problem solving attitude.
Ability to work to deadlines.
