Full Time Job
This position is responsible for serving and growing our existing client base in Film, Television and Advertising as well as new business development. This position will be expected to cultivate relationships with clients in these sectors, gain their trust as a go-to consultant for their music needs, pitch them appropriate Megatrax products and services for their projects, and hit or exceed sales goals on a consistent basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve existing clients by recommending music, conducting music searches, touching base on a regular basis, setting up in-person visits and meetings, helping resolve any client service issues.
2. Develop new business by prospecting and qualifying potential clients through various lead generation channels including (but not limited to), Linked-In, email, cold calling, trade shows, referrals, industry publications and networking events.
3. Meet quarterly and annual sales goals by generating revenue from new and existing clients.
4. Establish regular and effective communication with clients. Gain their trust as a go-to consultant for their music needs.
5. Maintain accurate detailed notes on all clients and prospects.
6. Stay current on trades, industry trends and developments, including trends in film, television, advertising and entertainment.
7. Attend related trade shows and industry networking events on a regular basis.
8. Interface with and assist in other departments as needed (marketing, IT, production, etc.)
9. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirments:
1. Minimum 3 years prior experience in music licensing, music supervision or sales to broadcast/media industry.
2. Degree or background in music, music business or music supervision preferred.
3. Sufficient musical background and fluency required to understand, pitch and recommend music.
4. Existing industry contacts in film, television and advertising preferred (music supervisors, editors, producers, creative directors, executives, etc.)
5. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to compose clear and effective correspondence (i.e. emails, letters, presentations, proposals, etc.)
6. A good telephone manner. The ability to listen to and understand a customer's needs and then to suggest solutions and/or alternative strategies to meet those needs.
7. The ability to prioritize, set personal goals, plan and execute successfully
8. Punctuality, reliability and honesty in all your dealings with staff and clients.
9. A good level of competence with MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
10. Prior experience with Salesforce CRM a plus.

13. Able to work independently within team environment.
14. Assertiveness and strong follow up required.
