Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
Software Developer Intern position (SDI) is responsible for completing assigned projects. These projects will be comprised of the following: maintaining existing code/software and developing new code/software for the Television Animation business unit. Because of Television Animation's strong use of software technology to create its animation products, its use of software is critical to its production workflow. During the course of the internship, the intern will be integrated into the software development group as a team member, appointed a mentor, provided troubleshooting and development tasks and assigned a project to deliver by the end of the internship.
Additional responsibilities you can expect to have as an intern in our Software Developer group:
• Partnering with appointed mentor
• Analyzing production software procedures and problems
• Software analysis and design
• Code testing/integration
• Coding
• Learning software QA processes
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working with backend languages: Python, PHP, NodeJS, etc.
• Experience working with frontend languages/libraries/frameworks: JavaScript, jQuery, React, Vue, Angular, etc.
• Experience with databases: MySQL, Redis, etc.
• Experience with version control: Git
• Experience working with and configuring desktop and network operating systems such as: Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows
• Able to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical user base
• Must have good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in both individual and team environments
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous internship experience within a related field
• Working knowledge of the television business
Required Education
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior undergraduate student or recent graduate (within 6 months of graduation) pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development or related field
Preferred Education
• Any certifications received from related hardware, software, or networking manufacturers preferred

Eligibility Requirements:
• All students must be eligible to work in the US
• All students must be at least 18 years old
• You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
• Must be available to work full-time from approximately August/September 2019 – December 2019
• All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship. Position is located in Glendale, CA
