Responsibilities
Working alongside the post-production supervisor; record, edit and mix a voice-only track into production audio using Pro Tools.
Provide support to management and administration, which may include transcoding and digitizing programming for production use
Manage all Audio Description assets and maintain archives.
Perform offline Audio Description reformatting, including conforming AD tracks to new masters and editing AD tracks for downstream uses.
Assist with training other MAG Audio Engineers, including preparing style, training, and SOP manuals for The Media Access Group according to Standards and Practices.
Overtime, including weekends, will be required.
Skill Set
1+ years of current experience recording, editing, and mixing dialogue and voice-only tracks in a professional environment with producers and professional voice talent
Formal education in audio engineering, Pro Tools certification, or equivalent experience
Advanced Avid Pro Tools and iZotope Plug-in user
High-level understanding of post-production audio/video, including editing standards and best practices.
Knowledge of video encoding and software, frame rates/sample bit rates, and various file attributes associated with audio and video file creation.
Basic Mac/PC hardware knowledge with experience installing internal computer components, including upgrading memory, A/V cards, etc.
Detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Innovative attitude and approach towards new business workflows and solutions.
Experience in Audio Description, audiobook production, VO dubbing, and ADR a plus.
Education
Bachelors or equivalent work experience
