The Revenue Operations, Contract Manager will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, drafting, analyzing, and independently interpreting contractual obligations and licensing terms for MarVista distribution agreements. This position will work with the Revenue Operations and Business Affairs teams to audit critical contractual information and streamline the contract admin process as it applies to internal systems and company needs. Key criteria for success in this position will be to ensure consistent attention to detail and provide critical input and analysis to support rights management.
Essential Functions
Drafting and negotiating standard distribution agreements and legal documents.
Managing the internal and external review and approval process for international and domestic distribution contracts.
Responsible for reviewing existing distribution contracts, interpreting and analyzing key rights and legal information and communicating such information to the legal affairs team and external clients in a concise manner.
Validate that contractual obligations and licensing terms are accurately recorded in internal database. Input data and update information in the system.
Research and analyze the contractual terms for key output and territory deals. Provide input on how to develop best practices, processes and utilize existing systems to support rights management. (i.e. pan territories, amendments, royalty, etc.)
Support Revenue Operations in window management which includes monitoring of title availability release dates. Properly manage licensing windows and holdbacks that flow through the sequence of media in their territories.
Ad-hoc projects: work with the Revenue Operations team to identify strategic projects that can be implemented to provide value add to the business.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years Industry experience in domestic and international distribution contract administration or related field.
Experience in reviewing and approving contracts related to film and television distribution. Understands and applies the concepts of window management, contract administration, sales planning, etc.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and apply appropriate resources where needed.
Must be a self-motivated, quick learner who is proactive with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, environment.
Working knowledge of rights management systems required.
Proficient knowledge of Adobe, MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
