Search for Revenue Operations, Contract Coordinator jobs in Los Angeles-CA
The Revenue Operations, Contract Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, analyzing, and summarizing contractual obligations and licensing terms for MarVista distribution agreements. This position will be part of the Revenue Operations Department and will manage key information flow related to the internal contract pipelines. They will audit critical contractual information and streamline the contract admin process as it applies to internal systems and company needs. Key criteria for success in this position will be to ensure consistent attention to detail and the ability to communicate and summarize deal structures.
Essential Functions
• Drafting standardized deal memos, distribution agreements, and legal documents.
• Managing the internal and external review and approval process for international and domestic distribution contracts.
• Responsible for reviewing distribution, development, and production contracts, interpreting and analyzing key rights, and summarizing legal and business information.
• Input distribution, development, and production contract data and update information in internal business systems. Validate that contractual obligations and licensing terms are accurately recorded in internal database.
• Organize and maintain a centralized filing system for distribution, development, and production agreements and other legal documents.
• Maintain key tracking documents and weekly reporting as it applies to the distribution contract pipeline.
• Partner with the Business and Legal Affairs to provide key data and reporting to manage the pipeline for development and production contract pipeline.
• Notify stakeholders (Accounting, Production, BALA, Content Ops) of key trigger points that relate to invoicing and delivery.
• Work closely with the distribution and business and legal affairs team to ensure all finalized deals are routed through the contract process and the team has visibility into the status of each contract.
Basic Requirements
• Minimum 3-4 years of industry experience in domestic and international distribution contract administration or related field.
• Experience in reviewing and approving contracts related to film and television distribution. Understands and applies the concepts around rights management.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and apply appropriate resources where needed.
• Must be a self-motivated, quick learner who is proactive with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, environment.
• Working knowledge of rights management systems required.
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe, MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
