Job Description

MarVista Entertainment is looking for an intern within its Finance group. The intern will have the opportunity to work in a team led by the CFO and will work daily with the Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. During the course of the internship, the Finance Intern will have the opportunity to take on the following projects:

• Analyze and evaluate the current process for revenue recognition, and work with key members of the sales team and finance team to streamline the process
• Support integration of new financial reporting system and develop new reports to meet needs of various departments (finance, sales, business affairs, marketing, digital distribution)
• Understand the current budgeting process and build a new Budget Revenue file for use by sales in annual budgeting process
• Observe and contribute to annual budgeting process (which will be conducted during the summer)

This internship will offer the opportunity to see multiple aspects of the entertainment business. MarVista is a small company with an open and collaborative environment, and the intern will have a unique opportunity to gain visibility into the production, operations, sales, and distribution processes of a fast-growing entertainment company.

Desired Experience

An ideal candidate is interested in pursuing a career in finance within a media and entertainment company, and has a minimum 3.5 GPA. All candidates must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and receive credit for the internship.
