Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
Marvel, a top-tier entertainment company, is seeking a well-organized and highly motivated individual for a winter internship to support the Global Brand and Franchise Planning team with day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in writing copy, including internal brand communications and forward facing copy for licensing initiatives
• Read and summarize weekly data relevant to the Brand & Franchise team
• Build out informational presentations for the Brand and Franchise team
• Assist in routing of style guide materials for legal and trademark approval
• Assist with maintenance of metadata for style guide artwork system
Basic Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Marvel Brand
• Proficiency in writing/generating copy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Design skills a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency, confidentiality and accountability
• Competent in quickly and efficiently following up on projects and communications
• Ability to set and achieve extremely high standards
• Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Resume must outline other internships, degrees earned, work experience, related clubs and organizations, current major course of study, expected graduation date and extracurricular activities.
• Cover letter must include a personal introduction, and days/times available during internship period.
• Preferred Junior or Senior-level standing
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Required Education
Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a marketing or relevant major.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program by arrival date
• Junior, Senior Undergraduate Program student status by arrival date
Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
Program Dates: The internship will start in January - May with flexibility as needed based on academic calendars.
Housing & Transportation: This internship is located in New York, NY. All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
