Job Summary:
Marvel New Media is seeking a Producer who will be integral to the operation and growth of production in our creative space, as well in the field, and at live events. This Los Angeles-based role will be part of a production team that is tasked with the creation of audio & video content, from promotional material to original entertainment, distributed on all key Marvel and social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Generate ideas for new stories, content and formats to engage our audience
• Set up shoots in the field, at conventions/events, on TV sets, and in our Los Angeles office; overseeing budgeting, pre-production logistics and post-production editing and workflow
• Oversee operation, scheduling, and equipment for our in-house shoot space
• Shoot and edit New Media projects as needed
• Support and develop workflows for live streams and events
• Serve as a primary New Media production representative for other Marvel and Disney departments
• Collaborate with the Development team on production initiatives
• Work with the Editorial team to develop new, inventive approaches to cover Marvel and our properties
• Work with a collaborative Social team to optimize content for distribution
• Collaborate with Sales Integration team on branded content production
• Generate, track and report on production schedules and budgets for assigned projects and events
• Collaborate with audience development and distribution teams to optimize consumption of content
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in video content production, including directing, shooting and editing
• Proficiency in the use of broadcast equipment and technology, including but not limited to, cameras, lighting, streaming and audio devices
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to take initiative, manage simultaneous projects and to follow through on all work
• Experience in running productions on location and in studio
Required Education
BA / BS Degree or relevant work experience
