Fashion/Costume Illustrator

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented Fashion/Costume Illustrator to join our team and assist the designer with costume and character illustrations. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment alongside award-winning designers and high-profile projects. Flexible working arrangements (remote and/or in-studio).

Responsibilities:
• Create detailed fashion and costume illustrations from concept sketches, photos, and verbal descriptions.
• Produce accurate, visually compelling flats, technical drawings, and concept renderings for garments and costume pieces.
• Collaborate closely with Designer to ensure sketches accurately reflect the creative vision and practical garment construction.
• Adjust and revise sketches based on feedback from designer, production teams, and clients.
• Maintain an organized digital archive of sketches and renderings for easy access.
• Occasionally assist with presentation boards, lookbooks, and visual development for productions or client pitches.

Requirements:
• Strong portfolio showcasing fashion illustration skills, costume design renderings, storyboarding or concept art.
• Proficiency in traditional and digital illustration tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of human anatomy, proportion, draping, and garment construction.
• Ability to translate creative ideas into visually clear, detailed sketches.
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced entertainment and fashion environment.
• Previous experience in costume design, theater, music video, or fashion illustration preferred.
• Familiarity with rendering fabrics, textures, and embellishments accurately is a plus.
