DESCRIPTION:

The Role
We're seeking a motivated and creative Programming & Events Intern to support the planning and execution of our virtual and chapter-based programming. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about entertainment, event planning, and community-building, and who wants hands-on experience coordinating meaningful events within a global nonprofit.

Responsibilities
• Assist with planning and coordinating virtual programs and events, including panels, wellness gatherings, and networking sessions.
• Research and brainstorm new event ideas that align with our mission and community needs.
• Support the setup and moderation of virtual events, ensuring smooth logistics and engaging experiences for participants.
• Coordinate with local chapter leaders to align programming and help bring events to life.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to strengthen and expand Mamas in Music's programming offerings.

Qualifications
• Interest in entertainment, music, event production, or nonprofit work.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Prior experience in event planning, programming, or community organizing a plus (but not required).

• Commitment: 10 hours per week (flexible/negotiable)
