Part Time Unpaid Internship
Title: Human Resources Intern
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Department: Human Resources
Status: May – December 2019
Position Summary:
Assist the San Francisco Giants Human Resources Team with various HR functions including hiring, employee recognition and wellness programs, compliance and administrative projects and tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
• Assist with hiring and onboarding processes: resume review, phone interviews, setting up in-person interviews, participating in candidate selection and onboarding
• Collaborate with HR and other departments on special projects and provide event support
• Assist HR team in administrative tasks/projects such as electronic data management
• Partner with HR team on community partner(s) and college campus outreach recruiting initiatives as well as Diversity & Inclusion projects
• Assists with the implementation of company's policies and procedures
• Assist with health & wellness programs and recognition initiatives
• Help answer employee questions regarding policies and procedures
• Assist with day of game HR support and event-related responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
• Current Student Enrolled in an accredited College or University
• Interns must provide verification of student status prior to internship
• Relevant experience/coursework in Human Resources preferred
• Exceptional customer service, administrative and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential matters and information with discretion and diplomacy
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-paced environment with emphasis on meeting deadlines
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Spanish speaking a plus
