Department: Information Technology
Job Title: Business Analytics Intern
Reports To: VP of Technology
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Job Purpose: This position provides PC hardware & software support to the entire organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with business process owners to understand the business need and develop technical solutions that integrate existing and future applications into the organization's information systems.
• Must have technical experience with SQL, R language and Python.
• Support various database (including cube) within the data warehouse.
• Proven communication and problem-solving skills are critical to successful performance in this role.
• Understanding of integration services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services and SQL.
• Generate SQL Database reports from existing database using BI tools (Tableau and Power BI).
• Logical and Physical Data Modeling experience using data modeling tools.
• Design, develop, and implement all visual processes.
• Work collaboratively with and assisting other members of our department with your areas of expertise.
• Contribute to analytics projects, applying a wide range of methodologies, to support decision-making in revenue generating departments.
• Conduct secondary research as needed, including information gathering from industry associations and research companies.
• Provide data management expertise to the company by evaluating requirements and developing solution.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Windows, Office, Mac OS, basic hardware/wiring, printer, laptop and desktop troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with management and staff.
Work Environment:
• Employee may be asked to work some weekends and/or extended hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
