Overview
Role Summary
The Lead Shooter/Editor will be responsible for concepting, shooting, editing and managing content. This position specializes in wearing multiple hats throughout the production process, including concepting, shoot prep, operating photo/video cameras, light design, audio, photo/video editing, creating graphic packages and producing. He/she will manage the development, planning, and production of the team photo and video needs, as well as concept content for all mediums. This role should be a high energy, positive attitude creative who can produce quality content packages end-to end with minimal oversight. This person should be knowledgeable of all tv/digital mediums across various platforms and be able to create photo and video content accordingly.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
• Establish look and feel of New York Knicks brand photo and video content by working with Creative team to create standardized style guide that will be used for the whole year
• Develop and lead all video efforts for campaigns and tentpole moments throughout the season (Marketing campaigns include: Ticketing, Uniform, All Star, Lottery & Draft, Training Camp, Season Launch, etc)
• Manage and mentor a team of 3 shooter/editors across the brand
• Oversee production schedules and calendars of team shooter/editors by working closely with project managers, producers, and Creative Director
• Develop lines of communication and relationships with various MSG departments including; Brand, Digital, PR, Merch, Creative, Event Presentation, to ensure efficient execution of projects at the highest quality
• Create and approve content while ensuring consistency by following company brand, quality and legal standards & provide a steady stream of video content ideas for shoots and edits
• Oversee, shoot, direct and edit multiple video pieces simultaneously
• Oversee Media Management and content delivery to internal and external teams with very quick turnaround times
• Travel with the team for key match ups & high-profile events as lead team content shooter/editor
• Work in conjunction with outside high-profile talent- celebrities and artists on Knicks branded content
• Represent Knicks brand at industry events and video production conferences
Qualifications
• 7 years of experience required, with college or pro sports team strongly preferred
• Must have demonstrated experience with postproduction and graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere & After Effects; motion Graphics capabilities a plus
• Strong knowledge of various cameras, equipment, shooting and editing styles and techniques
• Candidate should be nimble, calm under pressure, able to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Strategic thinker / strong editing ability, confidence, keen eye for detail, grammar and style, and a deep passion for basketball with an understanding of music and popular culture
• Able to successfully tackle a fast-pace, heavy workload, and leading/mentoring a team of 3 shooter/editors

Education
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
