The Sr Manager, HR Business Partner is the strategic thought partner to the incredible professionals at Lucasfilm, who sits at the intersection of Human Resources and Business Leaders. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, this position leads a small team of HR professionals while supporting Lucasfilm, Lucasfilm Animation, and ILMxLAB.

Responsibilities:
Strategic, Collaborative, Business Savvy, & Solution-Minded are keywords for the Sr Manager, HR Business Partner. On any given day, you might:
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and day-to-day performance management for HRBP and HR Specialist
• Leverage partnerships and business acumen to enable the creation and implementation of strategies in alignment with business priorities and goals
• Immerse yourself in the organization to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and clients on all levels
• Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of each of the production businesses, in the interest of building effective working relationships with stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization and crew
• Foster leadership success as a proactive thought partner anticipating the business cycles and serving as a consultant during periods of change management, as well as leveraging business data, metrics and external market insights to inform decisions
• Implement employee and production crew member engagement strategies to foster an environment based on respect and values
• Develop and execute a lifecycle approach to talent management by assessing organizational performance systemically, defining talent gaps and proposing and implementing solutions in support of business objectives
• Coach and consult on organizational design and management issues, as well as challenging and/or influencing decision-making processes
• Streamline and implement new, large-scale structures and/or processes to create speed, efficiency and agility within the organization
• Advise on effective headcount/resource management and engage recruitment to ensure talent acquisition is effectively managed
• Coach management and employees and consult on organizational design, change management, and culture.
• Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention
• Partner with Learning Development team to co-facilitate key employee learning opportunities, as needed
• Partner with clients and HR Operations team on immigration and Global Mobility cases
• Facilitate the consistent application, implementation, and improvement of Human Resources programs
• Manage the integrated salary planning process by effectively working with management and Compensation to ensure timely and accurate planning and execution
• Manage day-to-day employee relations issues, in coordination with Employee Relations partners
• Partner with clients and HR Operations team on Leave of Absence and work accommodation requests.
• Act as onsite HR liaison/ambassador between employees and their respective HRBP teams for all those who work on Lucasfilm content at the Letterman Digital Arts Center (LDAC) campus and report up through other segments
Basic Qualifications:
Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:
• 8 years of human resources experience inclusive of a minimum of 2 years' experience in leading and developing staff professionals
• Strong consultative skills and ability to influence
• Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities with grace and efficiency
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong use of independent judgment to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation
• Ability to think strategically while navigating through complex matrix environments
• Credible, proactive and trusted thought-partner who has built relationships and delivered results
• Ability to thrive within ambiguity and drive complex projects
• Ability to travel periodically, as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in providing support to production and creative client groups
Required Education
BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or equivalent experience
