Job Summary:
Are you someone who likes to understand financials and the business from the bottom up? Do you enjoy a mix of structure and variety in your day? The Lucasfilm Financial Analyst role provides an interesting combination of detailed accounting and financial planning responsibilities. You would be responsible for processing franchise invoices and journal entries while also participating in the forecasting and budgeting processes. This individual will support our Senior Financial Analyst on a daily basis and will be in constant communication with our Franchise team to address their dynamic needs.

We are looking for a detailed, analytical problem solver who enjoys juggling multiple responsibilities to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Detail oriented, analytical, and problem solving are key words for the Lucasfilm Financial Analyst . On any given day, you might:
• Enter and upload invoices into SAP; review invoices for appropriate coding and approval; obtain invoice approvals as required
• Prepare reclassification journal entries and reconciliations with the appropriate supporting documentation
• Support all aspects of the recurring forecast and Annual Operating Plan, including participating in meetings with budget owners and data entry into TM1
• Coordinate third party rebilling with Disney Studio accounting by collecting and reconciling project data within SAP and preparing invoice requests
• Coordinate with Lucasfilm and Disney counterparts to ensure a timely quarter end close and submission of deliverables
• Assist in researching and documenting variances between forecast and actual results
• Respond in a timely manner to all vendor and client inquiries and requests
• Maintain vendor files and correspondence history
• Perform other accounting and clerical duties as assigned
• Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:
• Solid understanding of GAAP, audit and other accounting controls
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills to look at the bigger picture and identify connections or trends
• Comfortable managing large data sets for reconciliations and ad hoc reporting
• Solid understanding of accounting procedures and controls processes
• Ability to multi-task and make quick, smart decision on how to prioritize competing needs
• A self-motivated problem-solver with a strong desire to contribute to the team and Company's success
• Desire to work seamlessly within a strong team in a fast-paced, unpredictable, ambiguous environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Maturity to handle confidential information
• 2 to 3 years' experience in a broad accounting or finance role performing AP, AR and General Ledger responsibilities
• Experience with major ERP accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with TM1 a plus
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
