Production Assistant (Project Hire)
Job Summary:
Lucasfilm Animation is looking for a versatile Production Assistant to join their team. The Production Assistant will provide overall administrative support for all departments.
Responsibilities:
Organized and Efficient are keywords for the Production Assistant. On any given day, you might:
• Provide administrative support and back-up support to the production team that ensures all production events are smooth, efficient, well run and professional.
• Assist with script breakdowns.
• Assist in populating internal production/creative tracking system with asset naming conventions and other pertinent data needed.
• Schedule and organize meetings for various departments.
• Research and gather materials and information necessary for the preparation and execution of the production processes, such as preparing all paperwork and setup required for turnovers/kickoffs internally and overseas and prepping Review Sessions.
• Type meeting notes, memos, documents and schedules as required
• Photocopy and scan images/reference/schedules and filing as required.
• Upload and download images from Secure FTP/Transfer Folders as necessary.
• Prepare routine correspondence and forms. Package, ship, and track electronic files and deliverables.
• Assist with food service and catering set up.
• Complete special projects as needed or requested.
Basic Qualifications:
Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:
• 1 year of experience in Production minimum, preferably in animation.
• Requires excellent administrative skills, including word processing, strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Project Management software experience preferred.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team. High level of initiative, flexibility and confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow up/follow through skills required.
• Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines. Ability to work in a start-up environment that has a certain degree of ambiguity.
• Bachelor's Degree in film, art, communications or related field preferred.
