Summary
This position has direct oversight and responsibility for all aspects of Creative Services, Branding & Marketing. This role will manage staff, vendors and contractors and will work with the SVP and Senior Management to create compelling campaigns for all mediums.
This position will be responsible for developing and executing the social media strategy for the Los Angeles Sparks. Specifically, he/she will curate the voice and manage the creative, copy and posting schedule. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for managing and developing a staff as well as the interns that support the department. This department will support all departments of the organization and will be creative about new revenue streams for the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Creative Services
• Oversee and partner with cross functional teams to ensure that all sales and/or marketing collateral align with approved branding guidelines and strategy. Reviews final products with leadership prior to publishing.
• Oversee that all LA Sparks brand guidelines for all external facing material for the LA Sparks are being followed by all departments.
• Oversee, create and delegate LA Sparks graphic design requests, work load, promotional item vendors and printing company to keep organized and in line with event need/ deadlines.
• Oversee in-game advertising inventory, including broadcast and LED Boards. Is responsible for all inventory meeting LA Sparks branding/ marketing guidelines.
• Work with senior management to develop advertising and promotional campaigns that drive attendance. Provides creative proposals and executes coordination of plan – when approved.
• Works with SVP to oversee development and execution of TV, Radio, digital, direct and print event creative. Includes approval of creative concepts, assisting in writing and editing advertising material, securing voice talent, etc.
• Works with and supports SVP to develop & create tracking mechanisms for each marketing and media advertising campaign to help evaluate overall effectiveness and identify strengths and opportunities.
• Communicate necessary marketing promotion and media campaign information with the various internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are executed correctly.
• Evaluate marketing department processes and develop recommendations and implementation plans to improve those processes.
Digital and Social Marketing
• Works with SVP to manage the strategy and execution of all digital marketing campaigns utilizing display, retargeting, search, email and paid social channels.
• Supervise full-time Marketing and Social Media Coordinators, interns and game-night social media staff.
• Work with the Marketing and Design team to plan and traffic digital marketing copy and creative assets.
• Monitor digital advertising and social media dashboards and provide reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Optimize digital marketing campaigns based on key metrics including CPM, CPC, conversions and overall traffic.
• Work with the Social Media Coordinator to develop and execute strategies for the Sparks' social media accounts.
• Collaborate with the League and other departments to amplify social presence.
• Develop digital marketing plans to support the objectives of all departments.
• Assist in creating the organizational ''voice and personality'' on social media for each medium.
• Create digital campaigns that integrate with traditional media and the organization's larger promotional strategies.
• Provide opportunities and fulfill obligations for sponsorship and ticket sales campaigns utilizing digital marketing channels.
• Work with the Business Strategy & Analytics department to identify database segments and develop targeted campaigns.
Experience
• A deep understanding of marketing techniques including qualitative and quantitative analysis

Experience Requirement – Advanced knowledge Adobe Creative Systems (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro), After Effects, Media Encoder and Microsoft Office Applications preferred.
