Full Time Job
The Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy leads, develops, and executes LA Sparks marketing and advertising strategies. The Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy leads the creation and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for all marketing activity, including: brand strategy, digital engagement, advertising, email marketing and project generation while collaborating with ticket sales and sponsorship teams to ensure a flawless cross-functional workflow, timely execution of deliverables and ensures that organization-wide goals are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and execute annual marketing plans in alignment with company goals
• Establish and champion brand story across all campaigns and materials
• Craft and lead marketing and brand campaigns, including: ticket on-sale launch, milestone moments and more
• Lead paid media strategy, ensuring accurate segmentation and channel placement
• Handle agency relationships by guiding campaigns, creative, and media buys
• Lead demand generation strategy to attract new consumers to the purchase funnel, with a framework encompassing lead generation, nurturing, conversion and retention
• Interact cross-functionally to develop revenue opportunities supporting ticket sales, season ticket memberships, and retention programs
• Review and optimize performance of all marketing activities to maximize conversions, revenue and return on investment; and to assess against goals and benchmarks
• Own email marketing strategy, email marketing calendar and development of content
• Provide hands-on tactical leadership to marketing team
• Establish project management process to better collaborate between departments
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of managerial experience
• Experience directing brand, digital marketing and demand generation programs
• Proven understanding of traditional and non-traditional media landscape
• Expertise in efficiently leading projects by adhering to timelines, due dates, budgets, and other key deliverables
• Ability to work under demanding deadlines and within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to nurture strong positive relationships
• Ambitious and fast paced
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
